How do I add free images or pictures to my Substack post?

Using the post editor, you can search for free images from Unsplash or generate an image using AI and add them directly to your post.

1. Click on the image icon in the editor toolbar and select "Stock photo" or "Generate".

For stock photos: Use the search bar to find an image. Click on an image you'd like to use and select "Insert". This will automatically add what you selected into your post.

For AI images: Enter a prompt and select "Generate". Select "Insert" for the image you'd like to add to your draft post.

2. To delete the image in the body of your draft, select the three dots in the top right corner of the image. To re-size the image, click on the black bars on the sides of the image.
