Why is my Stripe payout less than what my paid subscribers paid for?
If your payouts are lower than you expected, it's possible that you have Substack Boost enabled. Substack Boost will automatically show discounts and special offers at the right moment to your subscribers to maximize your revenue.
Your free subscribers may've been offered a 20% discount to a paid subscription plan. If you'd no longer like to offer a 20% discount to engaged readers, you can disable this option. To do so, head to your publication Settings page, scroll down to Boost, and toggle off, "Enable Boost.".
