Can I add images, GIFs, or video to a Substack note?

To add visuals to a Substack note, click the note composer on the Substack app or web.

To add an image or GIF

You can post an image or GIF directly to Notes by selecting the Image icon and tapping the image or GIF from your device's gallery.

You can add up to 6 images or GIFs to your post.

Note: GIFs are available on the web only at this time.

To add a video

You can post a video directly to Notes by selecting the Video icon and tapping the video from your camera roll or opening your camera to record a video directly.

There is a five minute upload limit and you can only upload one video per note.
